one next to the other keeping a precise distance, specially studied to give more result to the spacing grid.

and regular shape.
Classic or Venetian technique
This is still today the most used technique. It allows to create any kind of classic works with the mosaic.
The tesseras are either in marble or enamel-coated in different dimensions, with regular size and spacing
between them.
In this case it is very important the tesseras positioning which, following the design, gives the shape to the images.
Modern technique
Following this technique, the mosaicist’s creativity has a free play:
different kind of materials (marble, enamels, gold, natural materials…) and binders (according to the application technique needs) can be combined together, in the respect of all the above mentioned techniques rules.
